Q: What is Little Music Masters?
A: Little Music Masters is a book series that is dedicated to connecting children with music. Spawned from years of classroom lessons and perfected with vibrant art it is the most fun way for children to learn music. The first book in the series, Reading Music Book 1: Meet the Notes is all about recognizing the musical notes and unerstanding what they sound like. This book, as well as others in the series is a great way to capitalize on the open window when children can learn something that will last a lifetime.
Q: Do I have to be a musician, or understand music to read the book to my children?
A: Not at all. The book is laid out in a very simple way and is easy to use. In fact many parents have told us that they have learned a lot from the book along with their kids.
Q: How is Little Music Masters different from other ways that children can learn music?
A: This series is based on entertaining children while teaching them. The books include stories to pull the reader in, colorful visuals to focus the learner, narrations to hear the music, as well as activities to create an all-encompassing way of learning music. Parents and/or teachers who are new to these concepts can also learn the ideas in these books while reading the stories and participating with their children.
Q: Does the series teach children how to play instruments?
A: While there are books in the "Little Music Masters" series that cover introduction to instruments, Reading Music Book 1 is meant to stand alone without needing an instrument. Instruments can certainly be used as part of the learning process in the books but are not required. (See the “How to Use this Book” section for suggestions)
